Growing Together:
Raising Neurodivergent Children

A Neuroaffirming Parenting Program by Grow Therapy Services
Parenting a neurodivergent child can bring deep joy, fierce love, and many questions all at once. If you have ever felt overwhelmed by advice that does not seem to fit real life, this program was created for you.

About The Program

Raising Neurodivergent Children is a warm, practical, and neuroaffirming parenting program designed to help families better understand their child’s unique brain, strengthen connection, and build strategies that work in everyday life.

This is not about fixing your child. It is about growing together with compassion, curiosity, and confidence.

A different kind of parenting program

This program is grounded in neuroaffirming practice, which means we celebrate neurological differences rather than trying to change who a child is.

Instead of focusing on “managing behaviour,” we explore what behaviour may be communicating, including unmet sensory needs, communication differences, emotional safety, and connection.

Families learn how to better understand their child’s development, regulation, and participation so that everyday life can feel more supported and less overwhelming.

This program is not about changing your child. It is about better understanding what they need to thrive.

Who this program is for

This program is designed for parents, carers, and family members supporting neurodivergent children.

It may be helpful if you are wanting to:

• better understand your child’s development and needs
• support regulation and communication more confidently
• reduce stress, guilt, and second-guessing
• respond to behaviour with more clarity and compassion
• find practical strategies for home, school, and community life
• feel less alone in your parenting journey

You do not need a diagnosis to participate, and you do not need to have everything figured out before joining.

You are welcome exactly as you are.

Our Approach at Grow Therapy Services

Many families have received advice that feels clinical, outdated, or disconnected from the reality of home life.

This program takes a different approach.

Our teaching style is conversational, practical, and grounded in both professional knowledge and lived experience. We talk with families, not at them.

Support should strengthen relationships, not create pressure, fear, or guilt.

Throughout the program you can expect:

• neuroaffirming language
• practical examples
• compassionate guidance
• everyday strategies you can try immediately
• space for reflection and questions
• support that values both the child and the parent

What the program covers

Session 4: The Hidden Messages Behind Behaviour

Learn to look beneath behaviour and better understand unmet needs relating to safety, connection, autonomy, and sensory experiences.
