Our Space

A calm, welcoming environment designed with neurodivergent people and families in mind.

At Grow Therapy Services, our physical space is an extension of our values — safe, predictable, flexible, and human.

We know that walking into a new environment can feel overwhelming. This page is here to help you know where we are, what it looks like, and what to expect before you arrive.

What our Space is like

Our space is not clinical. It is a working, welcoming environment that supports different ways of being, moving, communicating, and regulating.

You’ll notice:

  • Calm, neutral colours

  • Natural light where possible

  • Defined spaces for therapy, groups, and regulation

  • Flexible furniture and movement options

  • Sensory supports available during sessions

Our environment is designed to adapt to people — not the other way around.

Our Therapy Rooms

Predictable, flexible spaces that support comfort and connection.

Our therapy rooms are designed to feel safe, calm, and adaptable. Each room can be adjusted based on individual needs, session goals, and sensory preferences.

Each room includes:

  • Flexible seating (chairs, cushions, floor space)

  • Space to move, sit, or step back

  • Visual supports and regulation tools

  • Clear structure with flexibility built in

Therapy rooms are used for:

  • Individual therapy

  • Small group sessions

  • Parent or family meetings

There is no expectation to sit still or engage in one “right” way.

Quiet Sensory Zone

A low-stimulation space for rest, regulation, and reset.

The Quiet Sensory Zone is available for anyone who benefits from:

  • Reduced noise and visual input

  • Gentle regulation support

  • Time to settle before or after sessions

  • Breaks during therapy or group programs

This space includes:

  • Soft lighting

  • Comfortable seating and floor options

  • Calm sensory tools

  • Minimal visual clutter

This space is always available and can be used without needing to explain or justify.

Active Sensory Zone

A movement-based space that supports regulation through the body.

The Active Sensory Zone supports regulation through:

  • Movement

  • Proprioceptive input

  • Heavy work and climbing

This space includes:

  • Monkey bars, Trampoline and Soft Play equipment

  • Opportunities to hang, climb, or move

  • Structured and unstructured movement options

Movement is part of therapy here. For many neurodivergent people, movement supports focus, learning, and emotional regulation.

HOW THESE SPACES ARE USED

Our therapy rooms and sensory zones are not separate from therapy — they are part of therapy.

Clients may:

  • Move between spaces as needed

  • Choose where they feel most comfortable

  • Use sensory input proactively

  • Take breaks without pressure

We work with the nervous system, not against it.

ACCESSIBILITY & SENSORY CONSIDERATIONS

We aim to create a space that is accessible and responsive, including:

  • Visual supports available on request

  • Flexible seating and movement options

  • Clear routines and session structure

  • Support for communication differences

If you have specific access or sensory needs, you’re welcome to let us know ahead of time so we can prepare the space with you in mind.
