
Community Skills – Holiday Block Therapy Program
The Community Skills Holiday Block Program is a group therapy initiative designed to support neurodivergent children to build confidence, independence, and community participation in everyday settings. Across four consecutive half-day sessions, participants will explore life skills such as shopping, budgeting, cooking, navigating systems, communication, and teamwork.

Who is the Program For?
Our program is designed for neurodivergent children aged 8–12 years.

It’s ideal for families seeking safe, supported opportunities for their child to practice independence, social communication, and community participation and gain confidence in new settings


Program Details
​The program consists of 4 x 3 hour sessions, across Monday 6th, Tuesday 7th October, Wednesday 8th October and Thursday 9th October

Our Approach
The program is built on the GROW™ Framework and guided by a neuroaffirming, trauma-centred approach, ensuring that children’s identities, needs, communication styles, and whole-person strengths are recognised and supported.

Predictability: Consistent structure each day with visual schedules.
Empowerment: Children co-create group rules, make choices, and set their own pace.
Safety & Connection: Staff model regulation, provide co-regulation support, and prioritise relationships.
Flexibility: Reflection and participation options tailored to sensory and communication preferences.
